In the first edition of Power Rankings, it is only fitting to get the worst ones out of the way first so we will cover the most hated people as a Cubs fan. From opponents to some of our own, there are plenty of people throughout Major League Baseball that are hate-worthy, and here are just a few.

Chicago Cubs Pitching Prospects #6-10: Preseason 2016
We have reached the Top 10 and it is here when you start to see a lot of the names that you have heard before. There is a good mix of levels in here with a player from the Rookie League as well as someone who made it all the way to Chicago last summer. Each of the pitchers that you will read about here will someday make an impact in the bigs at some point or another, so why not get a little acclimated with them now?

Chicago Cubs Pitching Prospects #16-20: Preseason 2016
It is now 81 days until opening day and that means that the time is now for the preseason prospect lists to be coming out. Fangraphs and Baseball America were the most recent lists to come out and while most prospect lists combine pitchers and position players, I feel like it is difficult to combine the two when it comes to prospects. Pitchers take a much longer time to progress through the minors and are much more difficult to project as future big leaguers. That being said, here is part one of the Top 20 countdown for Chicago Cubs pitching prospects.

Prospect Profile: Jeimer Candelario
Previously covered...
Jeimer Candelario is the name that gets added to the list of Top Hitting Prospects going into the 2016 season. Candelario, much like Willson Contreras, has been a part of the Cubs minor league system for a long time now. After a steady ascension up the tiers of the minors, Candelario really showed out as Contreras's running mate in AA Tennessee last year.

Prospect Profile: Willson Contreras
A couple days ago I profiled the number one overall hitting prospect in the Cubs system and made the lucky guy LF Billy McKinney. When it comes to the second overall prospect, the name is much more accustomed to being up toward the top of prospect boards. Willson Contreras.

Prospect Profile: Billy McKinney
As 2015 comes to an end, it is time for the end of the year hitting prospects list. There have been quite a few changes from the midseason list, and this time to go along with the new OOTV, I will cover each prospect individually over the next couple weeks. Starting with the first overall prospect on the Out of the Vines Top Hitting Prospects list, Billy McKinney.

The New Out of the Vines
It's been almost a year now from when I first started Out of the Vines and I have only made a few posts. They have been almost entirely focused on front office work (trades and prospects). A lot of my focus has been on major writing and research projects that take a lot of time; time that I don't necessarily have very often. Being a full time student at Ball State University takes a lot out of you.
Starting now I am planning on writing much more simple and shorter pieces that are about quick ideas I have and not as much big picture items. You can expect to see a lot more "quick hits" of what I am thinking about at that time.
With this new version of OOTV you can expect to see a few posts per week and much easier reads. I can't wait for this new way of writing while still expressing my opinions and love of the Chicago Cubs.
